D.C electronic artist with punk in her bones Sneaks is back today with new song 'Mars in Virgo', following off from her whacky 2019 album Highway Hypnosis. The new single was self-produced by Sneaks and mixed by Carlos Hernandez. It's a meaty tune that lays down an industrial beat, whilst techno synth bass bounces in its own echo. Lyrically, Sneaks explores the traits of someone who is a 'mars in virgo': "We get things done...we do it the best". Sneaks sheds light on the track: "I think of “Mars in Virgo” as a powerful electronic ballad. I wanted the song to feel like it was created from a drummer’s perspective. I was definitely influenced by ’80s synths and drum beats. The beginning of the song kind of reminds me of a car starting, and then it kind of turns into a dance song. I was definitely influenced by songs like “Personal Jesus” and “Strangelove” by Depeche Mode.". Listen below. -Ellie Rose-Davies
